This is a dirt road that goes between Foresthill and Colfax, CA. This road has special meaning to me because Joan and I took it once, two up on the K1200LT. On the LT this road is very scarry but on the GS it was a lot of fun.
This was the "good" part of the road. The colors were changing and it was really very nice.
I came upon these cones and just around a bend I saw two trucks. Frankly I could not back up as gravity and the weight of the bike were stronger than me. Fortunately the road block did not last long.
Unfortunately in June a guy drove his small car off the road and fell about 300 feet to his death at the river below. It was amazing to watch the tow guys get that car all the way up the slope which was a shear drop.
I went on foot onto this bridge to take photos and was surprised the bridge started to sway.
Can you tell I am having fun??

Just a few more pictures of the new GS. Taken at a picnic area next to the American River.
